Apprenticeship Levy Funding Changes

The rules relating to the use of apprenticeship levy funds have recently changed.

Government reforms introduced from April 2019 now mean that KCC is able to transfer up to 25% of the authority’s apprenticeship levy fund to other Kent Employers to fund new apprenticeships.  Kent Schools and Academies which don’t currently pay into the apprenticeship levy themselves are eligible to apply for funding from this levy pot.

You can find out more, including the criteria for applying for levy funds, here.

There are no changes to the way existing KCC levy fund paying Community and Controlled Schools or larger Foundation / Aided Schools and Academies which pay into the levy in their own, right draw funds from the levy.
