Family Learning Festival

2018 is proving an exciting year for learning and as ever SPS is there in the mix championing learning and development.

Earlier this year, we worked to support Learning at Work Week – a national campaign to promote workplace learning. We wanted to share another national event with you… one that focusses on families and the wider School community.

The annual Family Learning Festival is a national celebration which takes place throughout October.  The Festival can help you to engage with parents, introduce new teaching ideas and raise your profile within the community.

This year the campaign’s focus is encouraging organisations to help families to continue their learning at home with the theme 'Try it Here and Take it Home'

It is free to sign up and there are lots of resources you can download from the Family Learning Festival website.

New to the Family Learning Festival? Love the idea but not sure where to start?

Here’s some inspiration from last year's activities and a free 40-minute webinar for schools new to the Festival . You can hear how taking part in the Festival can support your school's goals and discover strategies, activities and resources you can use. Find out why a family learning approach can be a powerful way to engage parents, particularly if they are less confident about supporting their children's learning and education.
