You will be aware of the communication issued recently by the Local Authority regarding the new formula which is to be used to calculate the annual leave entitlement for term time only staff employed on Kent Scheme Conditions of Service.
SPS are working on the necessary development to our systems and anticipate the changes will be implemented in July 2020, backdated to the effective date of 1st April 2020.
You will receive further notification from SPS once these changes have been applied.
As previously communicated, these changes will be automatically applied to Kent Community and Controlled Schools.
Kent Foundation, Aided Schools and Kent Academies are not required to adopt this new calculation but may do so if they wish. Kent Foundation, Aided Schools and Academies will need to notify SPS of their intention to apply the new formula via a Notification Form which is available on the customer portal. This form, once completed, should be returned to SPS via the customer portal.
