If you buy our SPS HR services only, we have a change of process for LGPS opt outs.
Your payroll provider is now responsible for uploading the relevant information to the pensions department to notify them an employee has opted out; therefore we do not get confirmation of this to issue a letter to your employee.
If you notify us that an employee wishes to opt out of the LGPS, we will send you a template letter that you can amend and send to your employee once your payroll provider has processed this for you.
