Training Courses

Every member of the School body from Newly Qualified Teachers to Executive Heads, from Site Manager to Business Manager has a crucial role to play in creating the right conditions and climate for success, and enhancing a pupils’ life chances.

Making the right recruitment decisions are some of the most important choices made in an organisation. Effective planning and management of recruitment, selection and induction is critical to finding or developing employees of the highest calibre to help the School achieve its vision.

Recruitment and selection practices should be fair, robust and rigorously applied and of course comply with the latest guidance from Keeping Children Safe in Education. Similarly, induction for new employees should be well planned and managed; ensuring new employees are properly equipped for work and life in School and feel part of the community, helping them settle in quickly to a productive role.

In addition to our SPS Monthly Webinars, here’s what we offer Schools and Academies and those with responsibility for the recruitment, selection and induction of staff:

We can also work with your Schools and Senior Leadership teams on a bespoke basis to advise on and deliver training covering Recruitment, Selection and Induction including:

  • Safer Recruitment Awareness Workshop (2 hour session)

To complement our long established full day training programme and broaden the support we offer to Schools; we are also now able to offer a Safer Recruitment Awareness Session, focused on providing an introduction to safer recruitment practice for governing bodies and indeed wider School Leadership. Having an awareness of Safer Recruitment in a Schools’ context ensures all School Leaders are informed of the School’s responsibilities not just those designated governors or staff who might have attended the full day certified course to support their role on a recruitment panel.

And then there’s our E-Learning offer – www.elearningforschools.com which alongside supporting staff CPD, could support School induction programmes and longer-term career development and succession planning.
