Your courses… Who should attend?

Our courses are specifically designed for school leaders and managers, focusing on the staffing issues that impact School improvement. Our sessions serve to develop knowledge and hone skills to manage staffing issues confidently and
effectively, towards a speedy and satisfactory resolution.

Discussion will also include legal issues, union position and potential pitfalls making use of meaningful examples within a School context. You are also invited to bring cases from your own School to add to the discussion.


How do I book my chosen course?

All courses need to be booked via CPD online Please visit the site and search for your chosen course via course title and/or date.

What is the SPS Essential Training Lottery?

The Essential Training Lottery is your chance to win a free training place for your school during the 2018/19 school year.

With every training attendance, your school will receive one entry in to a prize draw at the end of that school term, to win a free place on one of our essential training courses.

What time does the course start/finish?

Our full day courses start promptly at 9:00 with refreshments from 8:30 and run through till 15:00 (save Safer recruitment which finishes later at 16:30). Our half day sessions run as billed, whether a AM or PM session. Our full day courses include lunch and our half-day sessions include light refreshments.

What happens if I am unable to attend my booked course?

If you are unable to attend your chosen course please make contact with the office on 03000 419552 to discuss next steps. Generally speaking if you are unable to attend owing to an emergency, an Ofsted visit for example, we will happily transfer your booking to a future date or alternative course.


Will I get the latest policy updates?

Absolutely! All courses refer to the latest policy updates – both national and statutory guidelines, e.g. Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document as well as model policies and procedures. We’ll also share the best practice across education and beyond.


Webinar Wednesdays - What happens if the 2nd Wednesday of the month falls on a holiday?

This does happen on the odd occasion, as the Easter holidays move each year. The webinar will be scheduled the following Wednesday. All dates for the year are on our website - - so you can plan ahead.


Can we book you to deliver a session onsite at our school?

Of course you can! We’re always happy to work with Schools and Academies on a bespoke basis. We can deliver any one of our open courses on-site to designated staff.
